Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala Boot Benchmark

With my trusty laptop running Ubuntu 9.10, I granted my curiosity some light benchmarking of boot times. This is on my HP dv2610us with plenty of memory and a minimum specced hard drive.

Obviously it takes awhile for this machine to get going. Fortunately suspend has been rock solid on this since the dawn of Ubuntu. Note that the stopwatch was paused any time there was user input required. I considered the "Desktop" complete when I could navigate the applications menu. I considered "Firefox" to be complete when I could interact with the bookmark menu. Each OS has a different version of Firefox, so it's not exactly scientific.

Btw, Karmic Koala looks fantastic during boot.
